This blog is to introduce you to some recent testimonials that were taped in our studio about the station. They have just begun to be played on TV3.

Our members wanted the community to know about the wonderful things that were happening at TV3, and have spoken out. These testimonials are called "The Many Faces of TV3", and are now running between shows.

What is currently going on at TV3? We offer orientations twice weekly on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM and on Saturdays at noon.

We offer four classes in field production, studio production, hotset and editing.

We have an art gallery area, where local artists from MACI (the Medford Arts Center) showcase their work. We hold receptions with MACI for the artists and tape them, while interviewing the exhibiting artists. I host that show, and it plays on TV3 as The TV3 Art Gallery show.

We have student programs that range from news classes to film classes, we have developed for elementary and high school students. We are now in the process of getting together students from the middle school for an upcoming program partially sponsored by the Medford Arts Council.

We have a competitive filmmaking team called Team Medford, that has won numerous national and international awards, and has raised thousands in prize money for the station.

We have quarterly PSA Days, where the staff and volunteers produce free PSAs for local non-profits.

In these testimonials, the members and other local Medford citizens talk about their recent experiences with TV3. They taped these testimonials in response to a report that came out entitled the "Status of Public Access in Medford". This report was prompted by complaints from a handful of detractors with long histories of conflicts with TV3 and contained many mis-truths about the station. The members were upset that the report did not mention anything about what was happening at TV3 on a daily basis, and were angered that lies were being spread about their station. They were determined to make sure that the truth got out there.

So tune in and check them out.
